Zwischen August 1943 und April 1945 schuf er dort im Versteck ein einzigartiges Werk des kreativen Widerstands: Het Onderwater Cabaret. Es umfasst 95 Hefte mit handgeschriebenen satirischen Gedichten, die sich mit Nazipropaganda und dem Verlauf des Krieges auseinandersetzen. Jede Ausgabe illustrierte Bloch mit Titel-Collagen.<\/p>\n<p>Neben allen Heften im Original und als Digitalisat sowie weiteren Werken, die ebenfalls im Untergrund entstanden sind, stellte die <a href=\"https:\/\/www.jmberlin.de\/ausstellung-het-onderwater-cabaret\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\" class=\"link-external\">Ausstellung<\/a> auch Helfer*innen und Mitstreiter*innen im Versteck vor, zeigt Zeitzeug*inneninterviews und gab Einblicke in Blochs Schaffensprozess.<\/p>\n<p>Dar\u00fcber hinaus brachte die Ausstellung ausgew\u00e4hlte Gedichte von Bloch in einer eigens von der Schauspielerin Marina Frenk inszenierten Auff\u00fchrung mit Richard Gonlag und Mathias Sch\u00e4fer zu Geh\u00f6r und per Videoprojektion auf die B\u00fchne.<\/p>\n<p>Damit erg\u00e4nzte die Ausstellung gesellschaftlich vorherrschende Bilder vom Leben und \u00dcberleben im Versteck um ein detailliertes Zeugnis: um die Erfahrung Curt Blochs, zu der auch der Witz und die Produktivit\u00e4t geh\u00f6ren, mit denen er dem Terror zu begegnen wusste.<\/p>\n<p>Die Ausstellungsdauer war urspr\u00fcnglich nur bis Ende Mai geplant, wurde aber wegen der gro\u00dfen Nachfrage bis zum 23. Im Versteck hatte Curt Bloch sich gew\u00fcnscht, sein satirisches Untergrundmagazin m\u00f6ge nach dem Krieg eine gro\u00dfe Leserschaft finden \u2013 das JMB Journal soll dazu beitragen, den Wunsch zu erf\u00fcllen.
