Salomon Bouman (* 1937) had to go into hiding on a farm in North Holland during the Second World War due to his Jewish origins. His mother and father went into hiding elsewhere. Unlike most of their family members, Salomon and his parents survived the war. After leaving school, he studied International Relations in Paris, Baltimore and Bologna. From 1965 to 2003, he reported from Israel as a correspondent for the Dutch media. Salomon Bouman is married to Rose Marie Frijda Bouman.
