Johannes Steck (* 1966) is a German actor, dubbing artist, as well as a narrator of audiobooks and radio plays. He began his career in theater training as a scenery painter before attending Vienna’s Krauss acting school. Steck worked at various Viennese theaters for two years after graduating, then proceeding to engagements at the Schauspielhaus Chemnitz, the Stadttheater Würzburg and the Staatstheater Darmstadt, among others. Steck works as a freelance speaker and has become known to a wider audience through various television roles. At his recording studio in Seefeld Castle, Steck produces audio books and radio plays. He is the recipient of numerous awards for his artistic work, winning the “Hörkules” prize for most popular narrator of the year, first place twice on the best audiobook list and the Bavarian Theater Prize.
