Peter Kurth (* 1957) is a German actor and voice actor. After studying at the Rostock Drama School, he worked at the Theater für junge Zuschauer Magdeburg, the Theater der Altmark in Stendal, the Städtisches Theater in Chemnitz, the Schauspielhaus Leipzig, the Thalia Theater Hamburg, the Maxim Gorki Theater Berlin and the Schauspiel Stuttgart. Kurth is known to a wider audience for his numerous leading roles in television, cinema and audio book productions. For his artistic achievements, he has received the Rita Tanck Glaser Acting Award, the German Film Award, the German Actor Award, the Blue Panther for Best Actor and the “Actor of the Year” award from the magazine “Theater heute”.
