Ulrich Tukur

Ulrich Tukur (* 1957) is a German actor, musician and writer. He studied acting at the State University of Music and Performing Arts in Stuttgart. Tukur subsequently worked at various German-language theatres, including the Städtische Bühnen Heidelberg, the Freie Volksbühne Berlin, the Deutsches Schauspielhaus in Hamburg and the Salzburg Festival. He is known to a wider audience through numerous roles in film, television and audiobook productions, as well as as a novelist. In addition, in 1995 he founded the dance band “Ulrich Tukur und die Rhythmus Boys”, with which he has performed regularly ever since. For his artistic work, Tukur has received more than 25 national and international awards, including the Adolf Grimme Award, the German Film Award, the German Film Peace Prize, the German Television Award, the German Television Crime Award and the title of Chevalier de l’Ordre National des Arts et des Lettres.
