Arne Dechow began his theater career at the Baden State Theater, where he launched his career after earning his degree in literature, history and philosophy at the University of Karlsruhe. Among the many venues where he has since staged plays and operas are the Würzburg, Nordhausen, Kassel and Wiesbaden theaters. For twelve years Arne was artistic director of “Werft”, a cultural project at the Wiesbaden prison. He has created documentaries, written stage and screenplays, including the award-winning feature film “Toubab”. He founded the film production company Involve in 2004.
