Axel Prahl

Axel Prahl (* 1960) is a German actor, voice artist, and musician. After studying at the Kiel School of Drama, he went on to perform at the Renaissance Theater, the Grips Theater, and the chamber stage of the Deutsches Theater in Berlin. Prahl became known to a wider audience through leading roles in television, audiobook, and film productions. In addition, he has released several music albums. For his artistic work, Axel Prahl has received numerous awards, including the Adolf Grimme Award, the German Film Critics Award, the Bavarian Film Award, and the Special Prize at the Television Film Award of the German Academy of the Performing Arts.
He gave a musical interpretation of the poem “Nazidämmerung”. Alongside Prahl (guitar, vocals), contributors included Danny Dziuk (composition, arrangement, piano, guitar, vocals), Johannes Feige (guitar, bass, vocals), Nicolai Ziel (drums, percussion), as well as the Berlin State and Cathedral Choir under the direction of Kelley Sundin-Donig. The choir members included Greta Einecke, Emilia Große, Emma Hoeft, Carmen Kursawe, Matilda Laukenmann, Filomena Moling, Julia Römisch, Jakob Stahmer, Felix Stahmer, Uma Straub, Oda von Herder, Lieselotte Weber, Alice Westmacott, and Chiara Woelki.
