Bob Zimmerman (*1948) is a Dutch composer and arranger whose mother and grandmother survived the persecution of Jews in hiding as “onderduikers” – like Curt Bloch. After studying clarinet and then piano at the Royal Conservatory in The Hague, Zimmerman made a name for himself as a composer for theater and film productions. He composed music for short films, feature films, and documentaries. In addition, Bob Zimmerman worked as a vocal coach for the a cappella group “Montezuma’s Revenge” and as an arranger for the Metropole Orchestra. He also worked for the Dutch royal family, releasing two CDs for Princess Christina and arranging Ástor Piazzolla’s tango “Adiós Nonino” for the wedding celebration of Prince Willem-Alexander and Máxima Zorreguieta. For his artistic achievements, Bob Zimmerman has received numerous awards, including the Buma Oeuvre Award Media in Music.
