Burghart Klaußner (* 1949) is a German actor, director, voice actor, singer and author. After studying acting at the Max Reinhardt School in Berlin, he was cast in roles at theaters in Berlin, Hamburg, Frankfurt, Bochum and Zurich. Klaußner has become known to a broad audience through roles in film, audio book and television productions and has received numerous awards for his artistic work, including the German Film Prize, the German Film Critics’ Prize, the German Audio Book Prize, the German Theater Prize “Der Faust”, the Bavarian Film Prize and the Cross of Merit 1st Class of the Order of Merit of the Federal Republic of Germany. Klaußner sponsors the “School without Racism – School with Courage” program at the Velbert Comprehensive School.
