Mia Davidson (* 1939) was in hiding during the German occupancy of the Netherlands. She found shelter in the house of a couple of which the husband was an employee in the wholesale store of her grandmother. Davidson worked for many years at Joods Maatschappelijk Werk (Jewish Social Work) as a specialized social worker and was associated with various educational organizations. In addition to professional writing, Mia Davidson also engages in poetry. She made her debut in 2011 with her first book of poetry, after which other books of poetry and a novelle followed.
