Jan Georg Schütte (* 1962) is a German actor, director, and screenwriter. After completing his dramatic training in Hamburg and New York, he went on to perform at Schauspiel Köln, the Thalia Theater in Hamburg, the State Theater in Hanover, and the Salzburg Festival, among others. He has worked extensively in TV and film productions. In addition to acting, Schütte develops material for radio and film projects, often relying on improvisation and collaboration with the artists involved in the production. Schütte has been honored with several awards for his work, including the Film Art Award at the Festival of German Film, the ARD Radio Play Award, the Grimme Prize, and the Special Prize for Idea and Concept at the Baden-Baden Television Film Festival.
