A Turk named Rachman Bey
Once made a bet:
“I’ll stay underwater for one hour,
It‘s a joke to me.”
They lowered him in a box,
But he lost the game,
When a quarter of an hour had passed,
Fearfully, he rang the bell.
They put his photo in the newspaper,
He is called “audicious”,
Bey Rachman, the loser,
even gets his fame.
While I’ve been underwater
For 13 months now,
The newspaper couldn’t care less about it,
Not even a bit.
They are completely indifferent to my
Underwater record,
Perhaps this is the reason:
I don’t do it for sport.
