When

When will our chains finally fall,
When may we rise up to the light?
They promised they’d come save us all,
And yet there is no end in sight.

We live each and every day secret
And from the daylight far removed.
You sit here full of fear, you breathe it
That they may spot us in our grooves.

We live afar we live in shadows,
We live far from the face of earth,
When will we fin’lly have no more foes,
Breathe free below the sky’s wide berth?

When can we fearless in the open
let the whole world gaze right at us?
We simply wait and keep on hopin’
That it can happen quick, no fuss.

We’re sick of endless bonds without cease,
When will we fin’lly be set free?
When’s bondage fall, when is there peace?
We must be people again, please!
