The Blitz Recruits

A revolutionary change has been made in the German soldier training. Everything resembling a barracks has disappeared, the recruits are immediately prepared for field service.

I read with quiet mockery
What a wonderful miracle,
The Führer, your god,
Presents to you today with much spectacle

Offered as a novelty,
That will bring you victory,
Many Nazis triumph:
Hurray, now it will succeed.

This will cost the evil enemy
In the West and in the East,
Who seems so confident of victory,
Certainly the ultimate victory.

New courage is drawn
And certain confidence,
If people become recruits today
In Adolf Hitler’s dominions

Then they no longer need,
according to the rules of the barracks,
In the beginning, day after day,
To learn how to parade.

They don‘t learn how to
Present the rifle,
No, that no longer exists,
The old drilling

Is completely abolished,
They immediately learn shooting,
Yes, they poof and puff,
Spilling enemy blood

Is the sole objective today,
And as quickly as possible,
For there are many enemies
And Adolf daily needs,

For this his fight,
Soldiers, only soldiers,
They are trained today under pressure
For the boldest heroic deeds.

The old marching music
From the past has faded,
The barracks becomes a factory
It transforms foolish boys

In the blink of an eye
Into proud German warriors,
The enemies will see it
And they will hide

Those who go to school today
Are tomorrow‘s field soldiers,
Now it becomes beautiful again
For Nazi potentates.

The German field demand
Is temporarily secured,
The German sword is sharp
And Adolf Hitler chuckles:

The Blitzkrieg that failed,
I can wage it now,
A new course is coming,
To decorate the swastika

From the Blitz recruit
New good fortune will sprout,
And the blood continues to gush,
Yes, it will continue to flow.

You are under Adolf‘s spell,
You can be seen marching on,
Until your last man
Is buried for Hitler.
