To von Rundstedt

Order of the day from von Rundstedt to the troops of the Western Front:
You have the enemy at the gates of the Reich; soon he will launch new attacks. Any attempt to invade our Fatherland will be thwarted by your unwavering determination. – 13-10-44

Rundstedt, you old Swede,
You recently gave a speech,
You praised the soldiers
For their heroic deeds
And their attitude.

The enemy would be defeated
If they dared to do so
If they attempted
To attack the Reich
But today that is no longer true.

You said that in October
But today it’s nonsense,
The attack was successful
The enemy has invaded
Into German territory.

The West Wall has been breached
Misfortune crawls closer,
Misfortune creeps in,
You have retreated
As everyone can clearly see.

Respected Marshal Rundstedt
Together with Hitler, that dog,
It certainly doesn’t look too good,
In the east and in the west
It’s all goes in reverse.

I hear with delight,
The enemy will soon enter Saarbruecken.
And stands at the German Rhine,
That is for Nazi swine
A fearful moment.

They tremble and they shake
And fear for their lives
And if, respected Rundstedt,
I had a wish today,
Then it would be this:

I wish, upon my honor,
That this time of misery,
Of madness by the Führer
And you with your army
Will quickly go to the devil!
