Surprises

I think it is quite a joke,
What happens at Perekop,
The day before yesterday, I read the newspaper,
It is still in German hands,
And our troops stand their ground.
And in the flat plains, very soon
The Russians will be surprised.

The Crimea peninsula is protected,
A strong line is useful,
The Russians will not cut us off so quickly,
The general staff claims,
Two days later, they were stunned,
Propaganda got into distress,
Indeed, we were surprised.

It happened surprisingly fast,
Today the song sounds very differently,
The Red Army advances quickly,
Stops Göbbels‘ optimism,
The Russian is already in Perekop,
Has applied emergency treatment,
And surprised the whole world.

The Crimea occupation is falling apart,
And everything goes down the drain,
Despite Göbbels’ cunning lies,
Despite the threat of the Gestapo’s whiplash,
The Third Reich is soon going to waste,
Hello, friends, watch out,
We will soon be pleasantly surprised.
