Peter Lohmeyer (* 1962) is a German actor and audiobook narrator. From 1976 to 1981, he attended Curt Bloch’s high school, the Stadtgymnasium Dortmund. Lohmeyer went on to study at the Westphalian Drama School in Bochum, then engaged at theaters in Düsseldorf, Stuttgart, Hamburg, Berlin, and Bochum. Productions took him to the Salzburg Festival and the Opera of Lyon. Peter Lohmeyer became known to a broader audience through leading roles in numerous film and television productions. He received the Gold Film Award, the Bavarian Television Award, and the Film Award of the City of Hof. His voice has narrated audiobook projects and readings, including texts commemorating the Nazi resistance fighter Dietrich Bonhoeffer. In addition, Lohmeyer is involved in various social projects, including the initiative “Respect! No Place for Racism.”
