Christoph Maria Herbst (* 1966) is a German actor and voice-over artist. During his training as a bank clerk, he was active in the independent theater scene in Wuppertal and was involved in the founding of the private theater in Cronenberg with an associated acting school. This was followed by engagements at various German theaters. Herbst is known to a wider audience for his numerous leading roles in TV and film productions. He also works regularly as a dubbing actor and as a narrator for audio books and radio plays. Christoph Maria Herbst has received over thirty awards for his artistic work, including the Acting Prize at the German Film Festival, the Ernst Lubitsch Prize, the German Audiobook Prize, the German Television Prize and the Adolf Grimme Prize.
