Heinz Strunk (* 1962 as Mathias Halfpape) is a German writer, musician, radio play producer, satirist, actor, screenwriter and director. His artistic career began as a musician and music producer. As Heinz Strunk he released a total of twelve solo records and worked on various group projects and songs. His novels and satirical pieces have received acclaim and recognition, winning honors that include  the Wilhelm Raabe Literature Prize, the Kassel Literature Prize for Grotesque Humor, and twice placing on the shortlisted for the German Book Prize. As a screenwriter and actor, Strunk has been involved in various TV and film productions; he received the Golden Camera for his comedy “Jürgen – Heute wird gelebt”. He is involved in the production of numerous radio plays and podcasts.
