So many Landwacht members
Are being killed now,
All Landwacht members are chalk white
And they are exposed to despair.
Chorus:
Yes, the ,
Will go bad very quickly.
And if I were in the Landwacht
I’d be in deep trouble.
And whoever is a member of the Landwacht
Feels quite uneasy,
For he feels today, with certainty,
Soon to see his last day.
Chorus
Today they still stand guard
And serve the Krauts,
But they know they will soon return,
Return to dust.
Chorus:
Many a fellow countryman,
Have they betrayed and murdered
And for that they will soon be put to death
By bullet or by rope.
Chorus:
If one of them loses his life,
We think it’s a fiesta.
One smiles and says happily,
There, he’s gone.
Chorus:
And whoever sells out to the Krauts,
Is quickly taken care of,
One knows it won’t be long,
Until the Landwacht gets its punishment.
Chorus:
